Default I think I fell off the wagon a little bit...

It seems like we are not doing so good right now. I didn't exceed my grocery budget for october, but we sure did exceed the eating out budget. I got promoted at work and now it seems like I have no time to do anything. The fridge is barren, and we don't have the money to fill it. On top of everything, I'm leaving tonight with DS to visit my parents in Florida. I'm nervous because it is so much easier to spend money when you're away from home. My mom has stocked her freezer though, so hopefully I'll just have to buy some bananas and soy milk for DS and that's it. I just need to make sure DS has food for himself because he's not a very good cook!

Anyway, I just feel really stressed out and it's like all my frugal hard work just went down the drain this month! I just needed to vent a little.

I'm sort of in the same boat, except that I have too damned much food! I'm just buying and buying and buying food, and not eating it. I've spent over $80 this week on food!

We all fall off sometimes, with other demands on our time, stress, whatever. Right now, mine is stress. When I'm stressed, I want easy, comforting foods, so that's what I've been buying. Also, my self-esteem is pretty low, so I'm looking to be good at something, and I'm oh so good at stockpiling!

Unfortunately, if I don't stop, I'm NOT going to be good at paying the bills! LOL

Anyway, it's only one month. You'll be fine, I'll be fine...temporary setbacks. Like they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

What part of FL are you going to? I'll be glad to let you come by and raid my pantry! LOL

Haha my parents live in Key Largo. My Dad was given several boxes of frozen food from someone at Winn-Dixie that said they were cleaning out the freezer and needed to get rid of all the food. They have two freezers and my mom says they are packed full. I don't know about the pantry though.
