face book???

i was asked or invited by three differnt people if i wanted to join face book. Im not sure. Lots of people can see or get my pics and info or end up giving my email away. Everyone seems to see others on other peoples list. Isnt that unsafe?

What is the purpose of a face book? Is it something you would get something out of? If its only purpose is to have a picture with a name.... I wouldn't.

I have facebook...people can only see your actual page with personal details if they ask to be a friend and you accept the request.

I have Facebook and I love it. Since I'm using my real name I only have friends of people I know. I also use an email address that is not my main one.

Well, people can't see anything you don't put up. I love Facebook. All my friends here use it; it's how we coordinate events, keep up on photos, etc.

I'm on there again - I had closed my account b/c of my ex bf - no stalking k thx. He doesn't know I have re-opened that account and since then he's not been on my list and he will not be able to see me on there b/c I have adjusted the security settings to block him.

I say try it - use a secondary email address and give it a whirl. Its fun!

I have an account, too. Anywhere I'm not comfortable posting a photo (which is practically everywhere online) I use a "headshot" from www.meez.com . It kind of looks like me, and, I feel safer without my real picture being posted everywhere.
