Volunteering at a Newsboys concert!

~My sis and I managed to arrive 40 minutes early to a Newsboys concert on Friday night. We were approached by a Global Tribe volunteer ( www.globaltribe.com )and asked if we'd be interested in helping out during intermission and after the show. I LOVE to volunteer so I was about to say yes when she added that we'd be given free tour t-shirts and would get to meet the band after the concert. COOL! The volunteering(which was accepting donations in paperwork form) was pretty fun and, even though I felt like such a dork, meeting the band was great too! They asked our names and we got to introduce ourselves and have things signed. I would have loved to chat for awhile but there were about 200 people in line behind us(volunteers got in first!) to meet them as well. I didn't have anything for them to sign(the free t-shirt was black and I was wearing all black!) except my white purse so I had them sign that. Just thought I'd share!~

Sweet! I love the newsboys! They opened for a Steven Curtis Chapman concert we wernt to way back in the late 80's/early 90's and no one knew who they were then. They were awesome!

How cool for you! Glad you enjoyed yourself and found somethign for them to autograph!
