Default why i hate dentist offices.

I have called about a dozen this morning. Three broken teeth. yes it hurts. Bad. Excruciating.scale of one to ten? ten. Im not so stupid as to think that i should have allowed it to go so long. I know that i SHOULD have gone sooner. no kidding. If i had the money I would have. Nope I don't have insurance. at all. no my husband does not have insurance that i do not know about. You can get me in right away, great! no, wait a week from now for a "pre appointment" appointment is not right away. If i can get through a week, what do I need a appointment for. If i can go that long i can skip the dentist and just suck it up.

Ive had a sucky morning. I am in excrusiation pain, and no one i have called seems to get it. I am not asking for pro bono dental work. I just need help.

Oh Missy I know exactly how you feel..Been there done that..I would go directly to the Emergency Room if you can't get into the Dentist..They will give you a prescription for antibiotics and pain killers..You can make monthly payments to the ER..Do not mess around with this ......Not to be mean ...but... this is serious ...you can die from this..I got so bad that my whole body was being poisoned from the infections..I'm very fortunate that it didn't kill me.. I hope your pain subsides real soon honey..((HUGS)) PLEASE GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM RIGHT NOW!!!!

Are there any dental clinics or colleges that you can go to? They might take you in right away.

We have a dental clinic that is based on sliding scale too.Might be something to check into. A toothache is the pits.

I really hate the denstist but when my cavity got so bad that I was using that tooth numbing stuff every day I decided to go. I went to the gental dental. He advertised that if it had been 5 years or 15 years he would not make fun of how bad your teeth were or leature on how long it had been. He also saw me right away because by the time I saw him I was in such pain.

So sorry you are in so much pain. I do hope you can get it taken care of. You made me feel bad about my dental appointment today. I'm getting another crown. Even with my hubby's insurance and some credit I have there it's going to be a little over $399 out of the pocket. I hate going and I was trying to find away not to go. But I'm going. I've put this off too long. Hope you find help soon.

Sorry you are feeling bad, I have bad teeth, so I can relate. I hope you can get someone to take you sooner. Have you tried another dentist? Mine is a great dentist but his staff leaves a little to be desired. Another option is you can call and ask them to have your dentist call you himself. I would think that if he talks to you he can make arrangments to see you sooner. Feel better!

Please give us an update Missy, thinking about you.

And yes, you NEED to get them taken care of, my teeth almost killed me. I denied the problems and by the time I went in I'd been physically sick for months, took a long time for me to get all the poison out of my system and finally become a fully functioning human being again.

    Hugs to you,
    kj

I went into a dentist today. Got two pulled. I am a bit doped up right now. and on top of that i have a sore throat now too. I am swollen faced, like a chipmunk. and sore as can be. my kids are not cooperating. but at least the dentist part is over with. wasn't given antibiotics.

You poor girl, you have more than your share of stuff to deal with this year!
I know it is hard, but hope you keep that great sense of humor that comes thru in your posts and a good attitude & are feeling better very quickly!
