Need an opinion
Just a bit of feedback. Trying to drum up some more income since I have lost a few of my kids.
What do you think of a Parents Night out thingy.. You know I pick a Friday.. say 6pm - 9pm. Offer Hotdogs (cheap) cupcakes (homemade, cheap) popcorn (cheap) and a movie.
say for like $10.00 a child.
reservations only.
That could drum up a bit of cash, and I am just out a Friday night.
what do you think?

I think that is a great idea. Especially now that the holiday season is upon us.
You could advertise that the parents could go shopping, prepare holiday meals, or just take a break from all of the hustle and bustle while the children are at "Parents Night Out".Robbin

I think it's a wonderful idea. Oh, the things I could accomplish with 3 full hours to myself.

Just a suggestion, I think you should charge based on the age of the child. I feel $10 is more than fair for my 7 year old, but not for my 3 year old. Younger kids require more time, care and attention and you should be compensated for that. Know what I mean?

Its a good idea! I have done a few times. I think $10 is pretty cheap maybe charge a little more. Make it worth your time. Maybe $3 an hour at least.
As for dinner/snack/movie sounds good. You could even do just some leftover snacks from daycare during week. Pretzels, crackers, etc. No need for special cupcakes. IMO.
Good luck!

I am actually doing a few before christmas. And I am doing new years eve this year. 7pm-9am $50 per kid over age of 1 can spend night. I have 8 openings for this and have already started advertising. Is that an option? One year I made $420 that night!

Great idea...They usually do this around the holidays at the school(through YMCA). If I remember they charge about 15, since they do provide food, snacks, games and movies.

Up your price to $20 per child with dinner/snacks and I'd go a bit later as well.
