Default need some ideas for giving away some baby books

A person brought me today. (no lie) about 20 of those expensive, cloth baby books that she cleaned out of her kids rooms. Almost all of them look brand new. I was going to put them with our daycare stuff, but they are so nice. I thought I should find a better use for them. Called a few hospitals and they didn't want them. I could freecycle them, but I hate to just give them all to one person. They are so cute, and so clean. I was thinking since it was christmas. I don't want to sell them on ebay, cause they were given to me.. I just can't decide what I should do. Any ideas?

Have you checked out the local woman's shelter? They might be able to use them or direct you to an appropriate recipient. Lots of times women leave with their kids in tow and the bare neccessities.

I'd probably check with a few churches and possibly the high schools.

I second or third the Woman Shelters. They are always welcoming donations.

I'd watch my freecycle list as as people post a need for baby items email them and offer one. My mom makes bay blankets with yarn I get cleaning out houses. She'll bring four or five blankets at a time. I keep them in closet and when someone posts that they ae looking for baby items I pull one out. Gives me a great feeling to bless someone with something whe thy are looking for it.

How about a domestic abuse shelter. These women leave home and the kids have nothing of their own. I bet they would appreciate a nice book.

first thing that popped into my head was...My house........

But I am blessed with all that I need. I would check with your church and see if they know of any pregnant women in need of items/assistance?
