Help! In need of a "macro" guru

I was wondering if anyone could help me get a "macro" installed and running.

The problem:
When you lock a word document you lose the spellcheck ability.

The solution:
My understanding is that you install a "macro".

~I've found (on the web) a macro that's suppose to do just that
~I've attempted to follow the help instructions and "install" it

The result:
It's not working because I don't have a clue what I'm doing.
(Give me excel and number formulas anyday!)
