Not motivated to get up and out
This is my only day off this week and I have so much I need to get done, but I am so not motivated to get out of my PJs and go do them.
What do you do to get off your behind and start cleaning, run errands, etc. when you don't feel like it?

I'm with you, girl. I'm still sitting her at my computer and it's 10:38 here.
But, I have been known to just get up, think positive thoughts and turn on the radio to get started with straightening up the house. Then, I'm free to shower and head out the door.
My point is, JUST DO IT!!

I'm at work and I still wish I had my pj's on. LOL
Maybe if you get up and do one little thing, you might get motivated to continue doing one thing at the time.Robbin

I feel ya. I always liked having two days off in row. Then I could be a slug the first day off and not feel guilty because I had the second day to get it all done. Those times were few & far between though.

This is the only day off for me this week as well. I'm traveling this weekend and next weekend guests will be here for the holiday. I finally got out of my pj's at 11am, after having my porridge and coffee.
I sorted my laundry and have one load started and that was motivated by desparation for clean undies since i'm traveling. I'm thinking this will motivate me to get other things done as well, and though not at a record breaking pace, at a leisurely pace for today. The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

It must be contagious. I am in the slug mood all day.. I even crawled back into my bed and fell asleep for an hour. Maybe I needed it.. Don't know but I feel done with everything today.. maybe tomorrow will be better....more energy vibes.. I need them.

This is what I do.
I am usually lazy as heck on Saturday (guilt-free!) and end up working my tail off on Sunday to get everything done and ready to start a new week. When I am in lazy-mode (when I should really be doing other things), I will either take a shower to jump start me or get up (the trick is not to give yourself time to think about it - just hop up) and start doing small things, which motivate me to tackle bigger things.

~I had to break out my timer this morning to get myself going. I did 3, 30 minute work sessions this morning and did 3 loads of laundry, a load of dishes, sorted the kids toyboxes and wiped down all the toys with lysol wipes. There's something about timed work/rest periods that ups my productivity.~

Music that's upbeat always helps me... Or maybe a little "self-bribe" like a chocolate bar when it's all finished?

Well, I've gotten most of my laundry washed and hung (just one more load to go then the sheets). I've also played with the puppies and decluttered a few rooms. Nothing great but certainly better.

I think you work your rear off as it is. I think you should spend your only day off relaxing if you want. Let the family help you keep things tidy, and run errands.

At the risk of being a bad influence, I don't always. Sometimes I just give into it and wallow all day. Then I have to catch up within the next few days, but sometimes it is just worth it!
