    Default A newbie/lurker

    Been lurking forever, guess I'll join in the fun!

    I'm a SAHW, kids are grown, but it's works best for us if I stay home. Dh makes a good living and we like a traditional (AKA old fashioned) lifestyle.

    Both our kids live locally, and we have 5 grandkids.

    I'm into gardening, birdwatching, sewing, quilting, home decor (I'm actually an interior decorator) and helping others.

    I'm 49, Dh is 45. He is the best, most amazing person I've ever met. He is my soul mate and has a kind soul and a huge heart!

    We have no debt except our morgage, and my job is to keep the finances under control and do the very best I can so we are good stewards of our money. Currently working on paying off the mortgage within 15 years.

    I cook almost exclusively from scratch, and really don't crave dining out much. Dh travels a lot, so he eats out...and wants home cooking when he is home. We are pretty happy with really basic meals, although he is very much a carnivore and I am pretty much vegatarian. (he is gone this weekend deer hunting)
