    Default hair coloring

    i got more than 1/2 a bottle of revlon color creme left, no amonia, been siting about 3 weeks. is it okay to resuse?

    well i tried it on a little spot and it doesnt seem to work

    I am a hairdresser, and no, it is not okay to reuse it. Most haircolor is good for only about 20-30 minutes after it is mixed. One of my pet peeves is that they don't put use-by dates on these products. Who knows how long they have sat in a warehouse, or been on a truck, and maybe froze and then thawed out? I think this would chemically change the product.

    Oh, well, you already saw that it doesnt' work. Sorry, it would be a great money saver if it did.

    I agree! I had a friend that bought a box of hair color from Big Lots - not a knock off brand, but a real brand name color - got it home, and when we opened it - it was pure *gunk* in the creme bottle - completely gross!

    My lessoned learned: never buy hair color from places like Big Lots, there's not telling how long it's been sitting around -
