New with questions
Hi all!
I just found this site and it looks just like what I'm looking for!
I have been wondering though about a few things I've seen posted like:
EF
SL
BS
and what the grocery challenge is
mostly they have been in signatures, but I'd love to know what they are!
Here's my questionaire:
How did you hear about frugal village?
Searching for tips on frugal living
What interests you here?
Everything is interesting to me here... Although, I am so overwhelmed I'm a bit confused right now LOL
Do you know any other members here?
Not to my knowledge
How many kids? Ages?
1 step-daughter 18 years old
that is in her freshman year of college
Tell us about yourself.
I'm a 31 year old working from home for about 2 years now. My husband and I are working toward paying off our debt, aquiring some savings and are trying to have a baby as well as supporting his 18 year old daughter while she completes college.
Do you own any pets? two cats
and one cockatiel
SAHM or Working mom? I work full time from home.
Married or single?
Newly married!

Interests and hobbies?

Hi and welcome! EF= Emergency fund. This is where you have a certain amount of money piled up that way if something happens to you, you have something to fall back on. (if you get injured fired etc). Its good to have at least 3-6 months saved up, but that number is different for everyone.
BS= Baby Steps
If your not familiar with Dave Ramsey, just google dave ramsey baby steps. Its a very effective snowball method of paying off debt that a lot of people here use. You can also find info on him in the debt/ money management forum here. hope that helps!

Hi & welcome!
The grocery challenge thread can be found in the Frugal Living forum. You decide on an amount that you would like to spend on groceries for the month (just food, or some include household supplies and H&BA) and the thread helps you stay accountable.
Glad to have you here at FV.

Hi tia and
We're glad you are here!! You will find so much info on this board and tons of help and support.
Here is a link to find out more about the acronyms used on this board. I've found certain ones are used all the time and after you are here for a short bit you will catch on. Also congrats on your marriage!!
