Newbie here...
Hello all,
I'll fill out the questionnaire first I suppose.
Questionnaire:
How did you hear about frugal village?
I did a Google search for 'frugal vegetarian' and this site popped up!
What interests you here?
It looks really friendly and the advice I've read so far looks helpful.
Do you know any other members here?
Not that I know of.
Tell us about yourself.
My name is Rebbecca. I'm 18, I live in Alabama. I'm struggling with the frugal living thing and I need a little support from people who are already doing it!
I work retail (for now!). I really want to get into culinary school but the $11,000.00 dollars I owe on my car and my grandmothers car is preventing me from doing anything and certainly not school.
I graduated high school when I was 16 to get a 'head start' on college/trade school. Then I got a promotion at the restaurant I was at and my (single) mom needed help. Now, I'm stuck, I have the responsibilities of a 40 year old woman without the education, experience or money to back it up. I'm the primary caregiver for my 68 year old Gramma. She has health problems and we are trying to fix up her house. I'm tired. And long winded, can you tell?
Do you own any pets? Er... They own me. All of 'em. One cockatiel (his mate died last week, she was with us almost 7 years.), a white boxer, a German sheppard mutt, three cats (an orange tabby male, a black female and a long haired white female.) And 6 gerbils. I know... I really was told they were all girls. All are rescues and spayed. Except those gerbils,,, But they are my Grammas.
Married or single? In between? LOL My SO and I have been together off/on for about a 1.5. I'm hopeful. I'm also a realist! LOL
Interests and hobbies? Working right now, I'm a low totem pole retail manager so I won't be doing much of anything for the next two months! I do enjoy knitting though. I'm not good yet but my goal is to be able to make cable stitch wristlets by next Spring. I'm trying to learn how to sew. I am a pretty good cook though. I'm a vegetarian and I enjoy cooking veggie foods for family, friends and co-workers to prove that I don't just eat tofu!
Thanks for listening/reading this book I just wrote!
Peace,
Rebbecca

Hey Rebecca! Welcome...from one long-winded gal to another.
My first 100 or so posts were novels, but no one complained, lol. They're a great bunch here, you'll get lots of support and tips.
