Back again after long absence
Wanted to say hello and hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving.
This Thankgiving was very sad for our family after the loss of our neice Eryana in April and then the passing of our Aunt Crystal (Eryana's grandmother) this September. Both losses have had a major impact on our family, as many here know all to well having lost loved ones this year as well. But, as a family we pull together and get each other through the hard times, and that's exactly where I've been. Our Uncle Harold was really having a hard time with it all, especially since Aunt Crystal did everything concerning the household. Poor man had to learn how to survive on his own, and as he admits "It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks!" After almost burning his house down trying to bake canned biscuits, I took him under my wing teaching him how to cook, wash clothes, manage and pay his bills. He's doing quite well now and actually say's he enjoys most of his new chores, as he calls them.
In short, things around here are pretty much back to normal so to speak, so that has freed me up to be online again. I see we have new members and I look forward to meeting them, as well as catching up with old firends again.
It's good to be back home again. I've missed everyone.

Hey MarshHen! Welcome back!

That is really great of you to take your uncle under your wing and teach him how to get along without his other half. So sorry for your losses.
