    Default winter storm going to hit us!

    It looks like we have an ice storm coming this way this weekend. they are already saying power outages, and we are all electric. getting candles adn moving the grill to the garage so at least we can cook.

    We're "battening down the hatches" here, too. We'll be fine, but it will be a huge pain to get the livestock chores done in an ice storm. It's so beautiful here today (50's!) that it's hard to imagine ice and cold in just two days. Sigh...

    Were you affected by the ice storm this past January? Our grid power was down 10 days, and our baby was 3 weeks old. Hopefully, this storm will be nothing like that one.

    We may also get hit on Saturday with an Ice Storm.
    I do not mind snow or rain, but I really dislike ice. Ice storms are just too destructive.

    Ya'all stay warm, dry and safe! I much prefer snow to the nasty freezing rain/ice, I also hate doing chores in it, ugh.

    I've been keeping my eye on it. My family is all in Omaha or just inside of Washington county near Bennington. Sounds like its going to be pretty icy! Stay in and stay safe.

    We're supposed to get rain/ice/sleet/snow on Sunday. Not looking forward to it.

    I guess I should get to the store tomorrow for a couple of things we are running low on. But I'm still waiting for the Lake Effect Snow they've been talking about for the last two days...all we've had is a dusting.
