This makes me sick.
I helped (or thought I was helping ) someone by giveing them all the info to apply for Toys for Tots help. I incouraged her and now she is a monster.
Toys for tots told her about two other places that help with toys and she went to both of them and signed up. One place didnt require any proof of how many kids you have so she signed up for 5 kids. She has two. So Toys for tots will be bringing her two bags of toys, the sheriffs will be bringing her two bags and the post office is bringing her 5.

That is just abuse and my heart is breaking to think that someone other child might not get a gift becuase of her greed. She actualy called me to tell me I she was getting so many that I could have some for my kids. Well that upset me and I told her no thanks. I might not be able to get my kids pricey presents but I am not giving them stolen presents!!!

Oh UGH!!! People like that just RUIN it for the truly needy. I'm sorry she's doing this.

Hey, don't blame yourself, you did a GOOD deed, and it will come back to you. She did a BAD deed and karma will BITE HER IN THE BUTT! Just you watch!!

Hug, don't stress to much over it (but I'd call the post office and notify them also).

Hmmm, and I think I'd tell her "thank you for the offer but we have plenty for our children, I want those toys to go to those that REALLY NEED THEM"

shame on her. i am always the one that works with people to find what they are needing, and sometimes, you run into that type. That is what ruins it for other people...dont worry her time will come eventually.

I'd tell her in no uncertain terms what you think of this. I would not keep my mouth shut. She needs to feel embarassed and know what she did was wrong.

I don't know how much good it would do, but I would at least try to call and explain what happened to at least one of the agencies.

You know , I think I will do just that. I am going to call the post office and tell them not only that she has two kids but also that she is getting toys from two other charities and that I think they should turn her down completly.

I know I shouldnt feel bad but I do. IF I hadnt told her to apply for help I dont think she would have. At the time I was thinking about her two little ones.

i totally agree...there is NO way I would NOT be able to keep quite on this matter.
