New person's hello
Since I feel a bit adrift in suburbia, I'm reaching out to hopefully meet others who are interested in a simpler and more practical lifestyle. I've cut and pasted the questions that were suggested as a good opener. .
How did you hear about frugal village? Google
What interests you here? Learning new things, meeting new people, networking
Do you know any other members here? No, not yet!
How many kids? Ages? Girl 9 and a boy 7
Tell us about yourself. I'm an older mom, who really just wants to stay home to nest and be available for her children. I've held a lot of jobs over the years but never really had a career until I had children. Our financial situation necessitated my returning to work 3 years old and I worked a 50-60 hour week for 2 years. I'm so much happier working part-time.
Do you own any pets? Yes, a mini-dachshund named, Ruby
SAHM or Working mom? Both. . . try to work only during the hours the kids are in school
Married or single? Married
Interests and hobbies? Sewing, knitting, reading, cooking, thrift store and garage sale shopping.
