Is anyone ever EXCITED to get their bills?
Or am I a "little weird"?
We have made a real effort to cut down on the electric and water bill {well, gas, too}. Last month my electric bill showed a CREDIT...I thought there was a mistake. No, both prior bills were overestimated, and nothing was due this month!
Now, I can't wait to see my water bill...I have really been trying!
Bought my new oven 1/08 and loving it!
My recurrent nightmare is there is no such thing as PMS, and this is my real personality.

I agree, it is a game. My final Target c/c had a credit of 9.63! I think I'll go get a 10.00 christmas gift for nearly free. I cut the card up, so I will have to see if they will look it up.

I am starting to get excited! I used to dread it! But now as things are really starting to get lower in terms of credit debt, it's exciting to see. Dh does use his card, but it's paid off monthly and he's been making an effort to wait for me to get cash so it's rarely over $50. Which is an accomplishment, at one time it was $1000/mo. So we've come along way.
Utilities, well, for us it's pretty predictable. We're as low as we can go for most. They even come and checked the meters to be sure we're not bi-passing..lol. Since we pay much less than the neighbors and we're home all day. I can't wait to pay off the bills! I like seeing balance $0 ,,lol

I get excited in the winter, mostly because we keep both the a/c (duh... lol) and heat off, so I like getting low, low electricity bills.
I will also be happy to get our next cable bill b/c we cut our expensive TV package and lowered our internet plan, so I am waiting impatiently to see the new bill. Credit card bills are all done online for us (no paper). I do like logging into the one CC of mine that is paid off to see the $0.00 balance.
I do that every so often... Mostly I get excited to PAY the bills because there was a time when that was almost impossible...

Never. It makes me feel nervous inside even though we are able to pay them.

Well since being on this website I have become excited about the gas/electric bill. Mostly to see if my usage has lowered. Am on payment plan but somehow lowered amount for this year. So hoping to do it again for next year.

I know what you mean. I am waiting for my gas/electric bill. I think it should be cheaper than last years bill even though the rates have gone up. We started paying attention to how much we use. Most people don't understand me when I tell them that this has become a sport to me. I am excited!!

Only time I'm excited to get a bill is if it's the "one" I'm focusing on paying off...I like to see it go down.

WOW!! You did fantastic!! That would definitely be one to be excited about!!

I do! They're getting few and far between, though. We've got 4 utility bills that come monthly and I'm working really hard at getting them lower than the previous month, it's a game to me. But it seems like it takes forever for them to get to me.
Other than that we get car insurance notices about 4 times a year, vehicle plate notices once a twice a year, house insurance notice once a year, and property taxes notice once a year. Them are further between. Some I can't do much about (taxes, plates) but the others I do get to shop around and see if I can get a better deal.
Bring on them baby steps...
Step 1: done
Step 2: waiting on amount, hubby had followup colonoscopy, I had visit to ER with followup procedure
Step 3: to follow, won't know aim until things settle
Step 4: to follow, currently at 6%
Step 5: grown child
Step 6: huge mortgage ANNIHILATED!!
Step 7: ahhhh....
