Hi from Texas
Hello all,
I am a Christian, married, SAHM, that is always looking for tips and tricks to saving money. We are trying to maintain our family of 4 with a single income. It sure isn't as easy as it was 9 yrs ago when I started this.
As stated we are a family of 4: myself, dh, dd1 9 and dd2 almost 5. We live in small town Texas. Our local shopping is restricted to WalMart and another grocery store. Closest major city is 45 min drive. So with gas prices as they are, the locals are getting our business...but they know it and are certainly taking advantage of it! KWIM!
Anyway, I am not new to frugality, I have been doing this since we married almost 13 yrs ago, but it wasn't always a seriously enforced policy in our home. However, now it is a main focus for us and I consider it my JOB! Training the kids to make sure they turn off lights and don't waste water is harder than I thought it would be! But like this old dog, they are learning.
So thanks for reading!
Trying to be a good steward~
Denise

Howdy Denise
I also live in a small town about an hour away from the nearest city. I have to drive 17 miles to Walmart. My shopping opportunities are really limited
to the village!
