Default Can I Freeze Cheese and How?

I bought a bunch of cheese today at Aldi's to make mac and cheese. These cheese are in 8 oz. blocks and I only need 1/2 of each one for the recipe. Can I freeze these and how would I package them to freeze?

When I freeze cheese I cut it into the amount and style (small chunks, shredded) I'm gonna use. That way when I use say shredded cheese to cover a dish I'm going to bake I just pull it out open the ziplock and use it.
Most of the cheese I use is shredded and I just pull it out of the freezer and use it without thawing. I've also found that some types of soft cheese like mozzeralla shreds esier when its frozen. You will find that frozen and thawed cheese looks nasty but still tastes good when melted.

I always shred it and throw it in a ziplock too. I grab a handful when I need it, use it frozen usually. Works great.

You'll only want to use it for cooking -- it gets kind of grainy. Not very tasty just to eat.

I leave mine in the size blocks I will need and bag it in freezer bags. It will crumble real well.
