Default We got Our First Snow of the Season!!!

Wow is it ever beautiful!!!! I hate the cold but find the snow beautiful. We got around 3in. It started yesterday afternoon and stopped around midnight. I went out and filled the bird feeders yesterday. I enjoyed watching it come down and enjoy looking at it today. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere. The roads are clear though for which I'm grateful. My hubby goes to work this afternoon. I hope we still have some on the ground tommorow because my daughter-in-law and grand-daughter are coming from NC for the weekend. They both love snow! It's one of my other grand-daughter's first birthday today and they are having a family gathering on Sat. My daughter-in-law is so cute and sweet to drive all this way to be here for this. She expecting her second child this spring. That will make 8 for us so far. What I really like about days like this is tha I get all domestic and cozy. I'm baking homemade baked beans today. I got the receipt from the "Tightwad Gazette". I added some catsup to mine. I pulled out some deer stronenoff that I froze for dinner. I'll warm up the leftover greens to go with it. I also pulled out some deer stock to make some french onion soup to go with it. I hope there is enought left over for tommorow's lunch. Hope you all have a blessed day!

Isn't the snow beautiful? We got almost 6" yesterday and it's WAY early for snow in our part of Ohio. I initially grumped about it but decided to make lemonaide for the day Played with the horses and dogs in it, spent extra time out doing chores to enjoy the beauty of nature and the FRESH CRISP air that comes with that snow.

It's still hanging around here today and yep, still just as pretty

I love snow too! I just wish we would get more! I remeber when we always got at least 6ins now it just seems like we get enought to make it messy out and the roads bad. On the bright side my DDs love watching it fall!

I love this type of snow... enough to cover the ground but not too much to make the roads hazardous. I'm also in South Jersey and I commute almost an hour to work (with traffic). I dread the early morning ice. Today was great though!

Sniff, sniff, I won't say the "E" word anymore, but I do want to see some, LOL. Can someone please post some snow pics. Our temps are going back up to the upper 70's this week and next, so it's the only way I'll see snow before, during, and probably years (unless I move in with one of ya'll) from now for Christmas ever again. Please, please, please

Our kids had a snow day yesterday, and I swear, with the exception of the time it took us to drop off Brian's deer at the meat processor's, and run to Wal-Mart, they spent most of the day playing, sledding, and shoveling snow! We got home from errands around 3pm yesterday, and they played until after dark, outside in the snow!! They slept REALLY good last night!!

I love snow (although not too fond of snow days, especially when I have plans-lol), and we're expected to get a couple more inches tomorrow morning. However, it's supposed to warm up over the weekend, and rain!!
