    Default Water Heater

Grrr... My water heater went out yesterday. I came home from work to find my bedroom carpet soaked. Today I'm getting a new water heater. Good bye EF fund. Sigh...

ugh, what a mess to come home to. But congratulations for having the EF there to help you out in this E. Our EF is simply saving up for the next E. But I guess that is what it is there for.

I remember that happening to me one time. Even though I lived in an apartment and I didn't have to pay for a new water heater or new carpet, I had water damage to my bedroom furniture which my parents bought me for my HS graduation present. Sorry this happened to you, and just be glad and proud of yourself that you do have the E.F. to cover this unexpected mishap.

Argh! What a pain!! And in December, too!! Well, at least it didn't happen on Christmas morning...and you have your EF to cover it (trying to find the "positives" in this).

Was any of your furniture damaged by the water? I hope not...

So sorry you're going thru this!!

Got my new water heater in but found out it had been leaking for awhile. I found mold where it is so had to get rid of all the mold. (yuck). Am done with that so now just need to paint and get a new door for the opening.

It seems everytime I get ahead a little something comes along and knocks me back down... sigh
