Meet Miss Redneck Daisy Duke
LOL, she's a sweetheart. She doesn't seem to respond to Daisy very well and I see that her momma's name is Magnolia Blossom Redneck Gal, so maybe her name is Maggie, Blossom, or Gal? I'll try Maggie and see how she responds to that.

Of course Dixie is jealous, but they seem to get along really good. Dixie is used to new critters coming and going all the time, so she will adjust well. the cats, well it will take them a little longer, but they will adjust as well. I haven't introduced her to Abby Chihuahua yet. Will wait till tomarrow for that. She's gonna pout though.

Officially, I'm fostering her, but she will be coming up for adoption as soon as her previous owners go to court next month. I'm thinking we will adopt her since Hubby has always wanted a Bloodhound and she is a real sweetheart.

Looking at her pedigree and the only black & tan I see is her great grandmother on her dad's side and her name is Nosy Anna Marie, LOL. This pedigree only go's back three generations so I'll have to research to see what else I can find such as search & rescue training/titles and show titles.

Cleotis says HELLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOODLOOKIN!! My what pretty long ears you have

And hubby and I both LOVE HER! She looks so much like our boy!
You're going to just love her, I'm sure she's there to stay, there's nothing better than big mushy kisses from one of these guys.
Keep us updated, and don't get mad if she doesn't listen when she's on the trail of something, those noses can get them in big trouble. Cleotis's favorite thing is chasing bunnies and it's hilarious to watch, he's all stumbling feet and ears when he's after them!

KJ, she started baying when Dr. Blackburn pulled out of the drive, and your right, it's chilling but beautiful at the same time, LOL. She had her nose to the ground all the way from the back porch to the kennel. Dr. Blackburn suggested we keep her kenneled for at least 3 weeks while walking her several times a day until she bonds with us. He said he walked her for at least an hour before bringing her out, so she's resting now, and I'll go out and spend time with her and walk her again in a while and then sit in the kennel with her so we can become better aquainted. Hubby is excited to meet her too, and he can't wait to get off work.

Great advice on the kenneling and walking, and once they bond they are the most loyal and loving dogs. Honestly I've had dogs from labs to westies and all in between, and the blood hound is my favorite! Our big moose knows he's got us, lol, and we have to be careful he doesn't try to turn into a lap dog. He's allowed to put one paw up on us for attention, one paw only, no jumping allowed at all, he's to big.
He also housebroke in two days, only one pile EVER in the house on the first day.
Researching the breed is fun too, it's amazing what an old breed they are, how strong their noses really and what their ears and flews are for
Yep, your hubbies gonna love that girl!

I read on the AKC site this morning that the trained Bloodhounds evidence can be accepted in a court of law and it's the only breed that can be accepted because it's skill is unmatched by any other breed of dog. I didn't know that.
I was also looking at the receipt where the previous owners bought her. They paid $900 for her! I guess it doesn't matter whether people pay for their pets or not, some people are just jerks.

Yep, their nose is 10,000 times more powerful than ours, amazing isn't it?
And yep on people being jerks, but I'm so glad she's ended up with you, your place will be doggie heaven for this lucky girl!
