Marshen I have to tell you when I told hubby that he was "mad at God for not stopping him" hubby rolled with laughter, literally TEARS! His comment was "DEAR LORD YOU got in his face and I KNOW YOU, if he didn't get the message then it was NOT going to sink in!
I made references to "sloppy 2nds, thirds, and how many men I'd seen down there that weekend alone" I was NOT quiet and it was NOT pretty. LOL, he's scared of me anyway, I'd gone off on him once before and scared the SNOT out of him.
My friend is ok, still hurt, trying to put the pieces together and get on with life. She has two WONDERFUL and bright children, amazing kids, they got her smarts
The 13 year old has been invited to take the SAT tests this year. They do NOT fit into the situation over the hill well at all, but they know that we're here for them if they need ANYTHING, ANYTIME at all, we're just up the hill. And I can keep an eye on EVERYTHING going on, have a full view of the place from my barn and pasture, nothing gets past us.
We think the neighbor went for him thinking he had money because he has a business, now that's a LAUGH! He only has the business because his wife footed EVERYTHING. He's up to debt to his eyeballs and now running the business into the ground, and has lost a HUGE portion of his customers because of his stupid stunt. (small community and TIGHT KNIT community)
So yes, he'll probably be out on his butt soon with no where to go but back to mommy and daddy (and yes, we know them too).
Quiet for the moment, hope the day stays that way here.

Oh man, I totally forgot to ask if this guy had kids with your friend. Oh wow, it just breaks my heart knowing he would leave his own kids like this. What was this guy thinking? Let me ask you, this other woman, does she have any money at all, what does she look like, and is she younger than the wife? I'm asking because I'm still trying to figure out what the attraction was or is to this woman that he would do this to his wife and even worse, his children?
Good for you for letting him have it. Someone needed to. I had to laugh at what you told him because that's exactly what I was thinking when I first read this post in the beginning. Was wondering if maybe your friend can somehow salvage the failing business or is it strickly in the hubby's name, assuming they have divorced already. I'm sure the clients in your close-knit community would support her if she were to take it over.
We live in a close-knit, small town community as well, and it's foolish to think that you could do something like this and get away with it without everyone knowing about it. This is another reason I'm wondering what this woman has that caused him to totally ruin his life and his families life for her. It totally amazes me at the stupid things people do sometimes. Selfish, stupid things at the expense of others....Arrrgh!
