Talk About Extreme Weather!
We have a major ice storm in the Midwest leaving thousands without power, and Tropical Storm Olga is moving through Haiti dumping rain and possibly flooding the island. This is weird!

Well, we made it through the ice storm with not much problem. Our trees are still sagging under the weight of the ice. We lost power for about 10 minutes on two seperate occasions, but then it came back up. The kiddos are going back to school today. I am not really sure what I think of that. The districts around us are cancelled and we are not even delayed. My one son (the oldest) says he wants to stay home again.....but he was seiously driving me crazy at home!
Anyway, I am grateful that we made it through, although there are plenty of others still dealing with the aftermath. The news just said that there are over 100,000 Kansasn without power. There are still those in OK, and other places I'm sure.
I know, wild, wild weather.

While waiting for the school bus this morning I heard on the car radio that it may be 5-7 days before they can restore power to many who have lost it up there in the areas that were really hard hit. We have been without power for several day's before when tropical storms came through, but it wasn't freezing like it is up there. I pray it doesn't take that long to restore everyone's power.
Glad you and your's are safe, warm and hopefully sane again soon, LOL.

The weather patterns are so strange these days....too many holes in the ozone or global warming...who knows...but we have to agree that the weather is certainly getting more extreme each year.

Now that song is in my head, the one about the Heat Miser and Snow Miser!
I'm Mister Heat Miser
I'm Mister one-hundred-and-two!
...now it's in your head, too!
