Is this still good? :hungry:
I made a roast chicken Sunday and then made soup with the leftovers on Tuesday. Is the soup still good? I only have enough for lunch, but now I'm thinking about the fact that the chicken is 5 days old...What do you think?

I would still consider that good, unless it's been sitting on the table since Tuesday

Oh yeah, it's good and probably tastes even better than it did when fresh made. Enjoy!

I read somewhere recently that leftover soup should be boiled (the whole pot) for several minutes every third day to discourage the beasties. I don't do this -- too lazy -- but when it gets older, I've started putting my bowlful in a pot and making sure it boils, not just microwaving it. It may not make any difference at all, but it makes me feel virtuous in a householdy sort of way.

I've heard that too, as well as boiling any homemade stock for 3 minutes after thawing to kill anything that may have slipped through.
Mmm, chicken soup. I might have to do that for hubby's home coming tomorrow! We are expecting ice, sleet and freezing rain here in Baltimore. The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

Yep, boiling kills it, unless it is too far gone!
