Just a Hello!
I feel like I've been MIA for months but I know for a fact that its only been about a week. DH and I have been all over the place lately and talking alot about the idea of adding a little one.
We have zero central heat in our house (this is where we stop and re-think idea of little one LOL). I got online today and sat here with the laptop on my lap to keep me warm. Its pretty nice out today and its colder inside than it is outside, so I think we're headed out pretty soon. We've got tiled floors thru out except in the bedrooms and so its always very cold. We're in Texas so this isnt a regular problem for us. This cold front lately though has been kicking our butts.
Went out and got an electric blanket, because they said that last night was going to get below freezing. DH and I live in a fixer upper that is desperately needing new windows. We re-cocked them and covered up the windows in the bedroom with blankets. Put some thermal sheets that his mother sent on the bed, and now that we've got the electric blanket, its pretty delightful
There's a gas wall unit in the bathroom so taking a shower in the mornings isnt a problem, I tell ya though... my body was not made for cold winters. I am happy to report though that our electric bill for this month was $26! and gas was only $11
Anyhoot, just wanted to say hello to everyone and that I missed y'all!
I came back and found 11 pages of posting when I clicked on the new posts button. Lots of new villagers it seems, and some really great threads that I got to catch up on. Hope y'all are all enjoying your Sunday.

Andrea! Last night was cold here in Texas. Luckily, we have central heat. Looks like you are using the resources you have on hand to beat the chill. :-)
I wish my electric bill was as low as yours!!~*Michelle*~

~Nice to see you Andrea! We put an area rug over our tile floor and it warmed up the room considerably. Also, blanket sleepers with the feet or fleece pj's keep little ones toasty warm. You could also have a hot-blooded child like my dd. She generally wears only one item of clothing and a diaper in my 64* house. Don't know how she does it but she's never cold. Congrats on your excellent utility bills! Try to stay warm!~

Hey, Andrea! So have you received the "Keeping Warm" swap I sent to you, yet? LOL. The low was 29F for us this morning, but at least it wasn't still raining as it was yesterday. (Rain + Cold= Yuck!) It's supposed to warm up for us by tomorrow, hopefully it will for you, too. WTG on the electric bill.

Hey Andrea, I have missed reading your posts this week and wondered where you had mosied off to. We got the rain, wind and cold that blew through
Texas here last night and we are under a freeze warning for tonight.
Yeah, like Contance said, a area rug over those tile floors will sure make a difference. Stay warm, it will warm back up again within a few days.
Good to see you back....Missed ya!
