Acts of kindness I am thankful for
1) The family that deposited a perfectly good wooden, carved outdoor love-seat bench onto their curb this weekend. Yes, it had some slight staining on one of the arm-rests, nothing some wood-stain couldn't patch up. It now adorns our front porch.
2) Someone's brother on my church e-list was offering up a free turkey his work was giving him. He didn't want it and wondered if anyone on the list would like it. My DH doesn't get holiday pay and we're going back home for a little over a week to visit family in two cities, some of which haven't yet seen our son. Still this amounts to huge loss in our income so next month is going to be rough. Getting this free turkey is going to keep us in meals, soups, salads and sandwiches for some time.

Way to go on the freebies -- and thank God for allowing His angels to provide for you.
