Default What's happening today? Sat. 12/22

Today DH has to work a full shift. While he is working, I plan on running some errands and finishing up Christmas shopping. I have never bought him or DS#1 anything and now the grandbaby is here, so I have to get her something. I will try not to go overboard with her. LOL!

After DH gets off, we are going to drive 1-1/2 hours to have early Christmas with my mom and family. Then we will head back home because we have to other things to do as well.

I am dreading fighting the crowds today who are also doing last minute shopping.

What are your plans for the day?

I have a horrible chest cold. I'm puttering around the house right now, then I plan on laying down around noon. I don't even know if I'm getting out of my pj's today.

I am going to wrap presents, I haven't done much of that yet. Then I need to bake a couple kinds of cookies, at least one kind to get a headstart on tomorrow, I am thinking I will make gingerbread cookies today and maybe snickerdoodles and sugar cookie cut outs. Then tomorrow I am finishing up with the peanut butter blossoms, snowball cookies, crescent cookies, and I'll frost the sugar cookies and decorate them too. The cookies will be all done Sunday evening for gift giving on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day .

Later this afternoon/evening we will probably do our last minute shopping for stocking stuffers and gifts for our kitty cats. I might do one or two loads of laundry today too around the cookie baking .

Working, with probably some last minute shopping for the man of the house on my lunchhour. We always agree to not gift at Christmas but we both break down and get something for each other - have to let the kids see us exchange. Then it's home, making tacos + fixins, then maybe some de-toying of the childrens' room after that. Not much else. I'm hoping the house will not be destroyed and to rest up so I can get a lot done on Sunday...Have a great day everyone!

~My sis's car is getting fixed so I'm her taxi today. I already took her to work this morning. I also did a load of laundry and dishes. I'm gonna whip up another pair of training undies this morning then have leftover homemade pizza for lunch. We'll be going to the in-laws this afternoon. I'm leaving with the kids before dinner because I need to pick up my sis. DH is going to a game tonight. Then I plan to make bread this evening and watch a movie. Thankfully no shopping today for me. I hope you feel better soon, Julie!~

Clean, wash, cook. I finished up my shopping this morning. Yay! If I have energy left I'll wrap some gifts.

I took the baby in for his checkup at 9:15.

    At 10:30, I taught a piano lesson.

At 11:15, my Dad is coming over for a haircut.

At 12:00, I have 3 more piano lessons to teach.

At 1:45, I need to take dd to her cousins birthday party.

And THEN, I need to finish my Christmas shopping for Dh!

Today I'll be decorating the house and tomorrow we'll put up the tree. After decorating I'm sure I'll need to run the vacuum around.

Well... it is suppose to ice and snow here. This will be the 3rd weekend in a row of bad weather. We have been fogged in for last few days so everything is wet and starting to freeze. My DH is out trying to get eh last of the ice up before this system moves through.

Being that the weather is going to be nasty I have planned indoor activities. First on the list is laundry -- well was laundry. The washing machine decided to break (it will not spin the clothes). The landlord can't get anyone over to look at until at least monday (which is fine). He is going to bring me a key to the laundry room of the building next door (our rental house is next door to an apartment building). We will be washing our clothes next door and then bring them home to dry. Due to the weather, laundry may need to wait tomorrow.

So, here is what I plan do to the rest of day.
    Pick up house
    Finish some sewing projects
    Wrap gifts
Play a board or card game with my DH

    Sorry this is so long.

At the moment I'm coloring my hair. DH is steam cleaning the carpets and I'm getting ready to make a huge pan of baked ziti to take to my MIL's on Christmas Eve.

I met DS#1, his finance, baby Jade at the mall this morning to take pictures with Santa. I had to take him his dress blues because they also had family pics made while there.
I still didn't pick DS#1 up anything. UGH! Did get other things accomplished though.
