Hi from Tennessee
Hi everyone,
I found this site last night, surfing the web. I'm Kara, wife to Rich, and mom to Kayleigh. We live in Tennessee, about 30 miles southwest of Nashville.
I'm a Homeschool Mom. Since we're on a one income budget, I'm trying to learn to be more frugal. We did well at Christmas, and didn't charge anything.
I look forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome to the Village! Like the way you kept an eye on costs at Christmas.

Thank you all for such warm welcomes! I feel at home now

Stephanie, I've come across some great places to buy books online if you ever want any suggestions. What type of method are you following? We are using a classical method, and try to use most of the recommendations in the Well Trained Mind.
Here are a few free resources for online books, (one is a whole curriculum linked to free books!) They're great not only for home educating, but for anyone who loves to read!
Opps! I'm not allowed to post links for another 12 posts! Until then if you want to search for, the Gutenburg Project, (it's a huge resource of out of print books for all ages and interests.) There's also the Baldwin Online Children's Program. The complete curricumlum I mentioned is called An Old Fashioned Education, the books aren't on her site, but she has direct links to all kinds of books.
Blessings,

Hi and
from Oregon! Can I ask about your user name? I have a cousin with the name Shandy, but I haven't met her before. That part of my family is from Texas.
