What is Pinecone?

Pinecone is a survey site. You need to sign up and then they send you surveys to participate in for cash. I usualy get $5 per survey. Sometimes I get to try free products. It is all free and they are legit! It just takes a few minutes of your time.

I've been LOLing the last week as I saw the banner almost each time I've been on FV. For about a year I was dying to find just a single Pinecone banner. And last summer I finally signed up with them. They are a great company with failry regular surveys and always promptly pay. (Though I wish I'd been able to sign up before they switched to paying $3 per survey vs. $5). But now that I am with them, I see Pinecone banners everywhere! Murphy's Survey Law.

Ok I've seen several of these types of sites and several others that have been mentioned here on FV and other forums, but how much spam are these generating for you. I have a good spam filter and a limited amount of spam actually makes it into my spam folder. I want to keep it that way because I have client mail that sometimes gets sent to the spam folder so I have to check it daily. Do you have much trouble?
What about tracking cookies, viruses and trojans? I have to keep a clean computer because of sensitive client financial data.
Thanks

Pinecone has never spammed me. They only send emails for the surveys that you qualify to take. I have had no problems with viruses, cookies, etc. and I am able to access the site at the bank I work at, which has heightened security access.

I have never had a problem either. I never have received any mail from Pinecone, except to take the survey that I qualified for. They send surveys on new products that are hitting the market and want to know if consumers are willing to purchase a product of that type.
I enjoy trying the new products when they send them. I don't receive them for every survey, but I have received quite a few.~*Michelle*~

Never a problem for viruses, spam or cookies here either, which was what I had read and why I was eager to sign on with Pinecone. They only contact a panelist when they have a survey you're qualified for, which really cuts down on the spam.

I have signed up and taken the initial "getting to know you" survey but haven't heard anything since. I sure hope it works out for me.
