Foods you just can't eat....
After the ham/bean soup discussion in the other thread....just wondering...What foods can you just not eat? The ham/bean soup is one for me
We had it a lot when I was a kid and I gagged on it every time. My mom must have gotten the bone for free or cheap from the butcher, because I don't remember ever having ham. I am not a picky eater at all....but I've had my fill of game birds too (duck, goose, pheasant)

I'll eat about anything, not picky at all, but turnips really smell bad! My mother used to disguise them as potatoes, but blechhhhhh....... I just couldn't eat them. I don't care for wild game such as deer. The gaminess just doesn't appeal.

pretty much if it swims or lives in the water without feathers, i can't eat it, not the ick factor, but im allergic. Mushrooms too.
my ick factor foods are liver, and inside bits- won't eat stuffing if it has gizzards etc. I don't like the "it moves!!" factor of jello. I am really not all that picky, but i am sure there's more.~~ Missy ~~

I'm a fussy vegetarian with IBS, what a great combo ha! ha!
-Nothing with eyes, legs, fins or feathers.
-Nothing spicy not even regular pepper
-pea soup
-cauliflower
-corn
-Baked beans
-eggs only if I can't smell or taste them like in cake, yum! Have to stay away from the cake ha! ha!
-Avocado I have tried so many times but I just can't. I like the taste but not the mouth feel. To me it feels like I am bitting into a bloob of shortening.
I know I am very weird and have been since birth. My parents are still wondering where I came from, I must of been switched at birth. No one in my entire family tree is vegetarian and I have been since birth. From the first day they tried to introduce meat in mashed potatoes etc when you are on baby food to now 38 years later! They had no clue what to feed me when I was a kid. Thank goodness I have discovered great products as an adult. I am learning every day.

I think I've tried everything offered to me at least once-even in some iffy countries (I have an iron stomach). I prefer not to eat veal, duck or lamb just because I think they are too cute to eat! LOL
