I am freezing cold today
I raised the house temp to 72 (ugh, hate to push up the heater)but since this morning i have been goose pimpled and shivering! I have tea, blankets and a warm dog with me, but i just can't seem to get warm. And my crazy thermometer isn't helping, it says i am at 96.9. then an hour later it'll say 97.9, then 97.2 . I think it needs batteries!

Missy. Regulating body temperature on top of home temperature is always a tricky prospect.

When I get cold down to the bones, I take a hot bath and then get in my bed under the quilts. It seems to help get the deep down chill out.

cold in Missouri
It's really cold here in Missouri, too. Had 24 when we woke, and now it's 23. Supposed to drop drastically toight. And the winds are gusting to 50 mph. We fired up the wood stove and it's cozy inside. The tub soak is my fav way, too, of a quick warm up. Plus, I drink hot tea and hold the cup to take the chill of my hands and let the steam be kind to my face.

I am sick as a wormy dog! I had a fever last night and none today but still chilly as can be. My kids have rosy cheeks cause I have the heat up to 72 also. I am so layered I can hardly bend.
I am going to bed with my heating pad soon, that always does the trick for me.
Hope you warm up soon Missy - it is just miserable to be chilled like this!

how odd Missy, maybe its a Colorado thing
My Dh and I both have been the same way today. We turned the heat up to 68 for the first time this season, we both just can't get warm. I've got a blanket on and down slippers, sitting in front of the fire. Could be that it was 6 degrees this morning, you were probably about the same as you're not too far from us.
Hope you are not coming down with something. I was wondering about that with us too. I've been fighting a headache and stiff neck, thought it was just the cold.

I am one of those people that is almost always cold. When I'm chilled like that, I take a hot bath and then put on something like polar fleece and usually I'll stay warm then.

Oh, I HATE that feeling when you can't get warm. Hot chocolate or hot soup helps me sometimes, and of course the nice hot shower or bath. I really hope you're not getting sick!
