Here's mine:
Best moment?
This was probably one of the best moments of 2007 and sad for me as well. My oldest DD graduated from HS in May. I was so proud of her, but sad as well, because I knew there were changes ahead. I don’t do well with change.
Worst?
We have really been blessed this year and not had too many 'bad' things happen. I know there could be worse things, but my oldest DD called me from school back in May and told me they had gotten their yearbooks and her picture had been left out. She was devastated.
Most embarassing?
I get embarassed easily, so this one is tough. I'll have to think on this one and if something comes to mind, I'll add it later.
Saddest?
Three of my HS classmates passed away. One had been sick for many years. She was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and with MS not long after we graduated. She suffered for years. One guy had a heart attack and passed away. And towards the end of 2007, another classmate took his own life.
Funniest?
There is always something funny going on, but one more recent comes to mind. My DDs and I have made a stocking for my DMother each year since my DDad passed away. This year I had added a Car Jar from Yankee Candle. During Christmas Day dinner, my DNiece17 looks up towards the ceiling in the kitchen and asks, “Mama Reba, (that’s what all the grandkids call my Mom) do you really think that is doing any good hanging up there?” We all look up and my DMother has hung the Car Jar from the ceiling. I said, “Momma, that is for your car!” We all laughed until we thought we would wet our pants. Another funny that goes with this story… My oldest DD and I were sneaking into my DMother’s house to leave the stocking for her to find Christmas morning. I saw her coming towards the kitchen and thought she had heard us come in. I said, “Awwwww!” She screamed, looked at us and said, “You scared the sh*t out of me!” You just have to know that my DMother is a Christian woman and we never hear her say ugly words. After the car jar incident, I had to tell everyone about me and DD18 scaring her the night before. I thought my DNephew7 was going to fall in the floor he was laughing so hard.
Scariest?
DH donated blood through the Red Cross and was told that they could not use his blood because he had Hepatitis C. His doctor sent him for some more tests and they were even going to remove a tiny piece of his liver to do some testing. Through blood tests, we discovered the Red Cross was in error and DH definitely did not have Hepatitis C. Thank the Lord!
Most memorable?
Our family vacation we took this summer to the Outer Banks. There were 14 of us. We had a blast!

Tell us about your year:
best moment?
Hmm. Probably the first time I went to Zumba class. They were giving a free class in the park so I had to do something new in a very public place. I did it!
worst?
I had about a three month stretch of severe depression from July to September. I cried about everything for about two weeks straight in August. (I'm undiagnosed bi-polar)
most embarrassing?
Not sending something on time to someone here on the village.
saddest?
Having to debate with my in-laws about how to celebrate the holidays yet again this year. I wish they'd just agree to disagree.
funniest?
My DD, early in 2007, thinking my ds's new elmo undies were hats. She would pull them out of the clean laundry basket and put them on her head and wear them all day.
scariest?
DD had strep this year and she didn't eat or drink for about 3 days. She got so weak that I was really scared. The antibiotics helped her bounce right back though.
most memorable?
Volunteering at a Newsboys concert and getting to meet the band after.~Constance

best moment?
Realizing during a peaceful Christmas Day that the stress of the custody fight is over. All is settled irrevocably thfough the courts and I don't have to fight anymore
worst?
Realizing that I am amking a ton more moneyand I hae nothing to show for it because of huge legal bills
most embarrassing?
Leaving my service manager job because I couldn't keep up with the work and the hours
saddest?
Feeling like I am a bad mom because I get so impatient with my kids - this happened several times over the year because DD12 and I fight constantly of late
funniest?
There were two: When DD7 got us up at 2:15 am on Christmas morning "mommy, get up! Santa's been here! Mommy it's morning!!!! and secondly when DD12 called me at work and calmly told me about taking Rachel's door off the hinges after she got trapped in her room during Chloe's first week babysitting her
scariest?
Two of these also: First has to be leaving my kids on their own before and after school because I could no longer afford a babysitter. It was frightening and made me feel like a failure. Second, when the school called me to tell me the children did not arrive at school one day. They had been with their dad and he did not bother to take them until lunchtime, nor did he call me or the school to tell us - I thought he had kidnapped them!
most memorable?
My beautiful daughter as the lead character in the school Christmas play - I was so proud!

Tell us about your year:
best moment?
I think it would have to have been when I got into size 10 jeans for the first time in 25 years
worst?
The moment my worst fears were confirmed regarding an extended family member. I always knew in my heart but wanted to believe it couldn't be as bad as it was
most embarrassing?
See above, sorry not trying to be vague just can't bring myself to go into detail
saddest?
Being with my dear mother as she died
funniest?
We were on a cruise with some really fun people, lots of funny things happened.
scariest?
On the way to hospital to be with my mom before a test she was having I was driving on ice and on an off ramp I almost couldn't stop before going through a very busy intersection during a red light. It was awful!
most memorable?
My mom's funeral.
2007 was the most bittersweet year of my life. I have lots of wonderful memories peppered with some really painful ones.

Tell us about your year:
best moment? Husband getting to come home for a week of leave before deploying to Iraq.
worst? Husband leaving. It felt as if my heart was being ripped from my body.
most embarrassing? I was working at my former job and the skirt I was wearing came unsewn in the back from hem to hem. While I was wearing a thong.
saddest?Husband deploying...hands down.
funniest? While it wasn't funny at the time, I have to laugh about it now....I had just shampooed my carpets. I had also just explained to Wesley that we don't poop in our diapers, we poop in the potty. Needless to say that as he pooped he pulled it out of his diaper and threw in on the carpet, stomped on it, and tried to "hide the evidence by wiping it on his tummy, the leather couch, etc. Looking back now, I can SO see the humor.
scariest? When I found Wesley lying on his back, not breathing, in a puddle of vomit. I called the ambulance. By the time, EMS got there (all of 1 minute later)he was just fine wanting to show off his markers.
most memorable? Zac leaving. It was heart-wrenching and I will never forget the complete feeling of helplessness that I had.McD

They are telling us he will be home in May--which is way earlier than we expected. But it's a double egded sword because he gets back and a few months later there is another deployment on the horizon.
Thanks for the compliment on the picture. They were taken in May and I can't get over how little Wesley looked---he still looked like a baby.McD

Forgot most embarrassing? Um, I dunno!
I am sure there have been several. I guess it would have to be asking my DS#2 for help with my college algebra homework. It was pretty embarrassing when he knew how to do the problem and work the graphing calculator when I didn't!!!
