    Talking Flat Stanley--HELP!

Well, ds #1 (age 6) has read Flat Stanley and now needs to send a flat Stanley to someone outside of NH--anywhere in the world. In turn, the person receiving Flat Stanley, sends his school a postcard discussing Stanley's visit, what he did, and where he was. The person then sends flat Stanley on to someone else.

Soooo.....does anyone want a visit from Flat Stanley?!?!! This person must be willing to send a postcard and then send Stanley on to someplace else. If you're willing, I would love you forever and so would a room of great first graders!!! Please PM me your mailing address!

    Thank you!

    Default BTW

Flat Stanley is a book written by Jeff Brown and it is about a boy that becomes flat when a bulletin board falls on him. His family sends him on adventures by mailing him in envelopes. How frugal! The children read this book then colored their own Flat Stanley.

Flat Stanley can visit here on the Georgia Coast too. My grandson's class would love to meet him. Take him on a ride on a shrimp boat, LOL.

My DD and I would love to take Stanley to Swan Lake Iris Gardens.

PM me if he would like to come and visit.

Maybe, if some of us don't mind sharing addresses, we could send him to each other when we are done.

When he's done visiting all the cold places you can forwrd him on to Florida.
We'll take him to the beach.

We did this several years ago for a friend in North Dakota it worked out great as we took "Brandon" on vacation with us to Hawaii. He ended up sending home a small scrapebook with pictures from the airport in Tampa, the plane, with a lei at the luggage racks in Honolulu airport, on the Waikkii Beach, On the top of Diamond head with a batch of girls from Japan, from Chinatown, and Pearl Harbor. It was a blast for my kids to have him in the backpack. Then putting the book together. We made doubles of alot of the photos and still laugh over the trip with "Brandon".

We could do it too if you like - I have a boy in first grade who would get a kick out of it. There's not much to do in Iowa right now though, unless he likes snow and cold!!

We took Flat Stanley on vacation to Disney and Busch Gardens one year. He also went to work with my mom and got an eye exam, then off to work DH and learned the ins and outs of being a CPA. I still have our copies of the pics we took w/Stanley.

If Stanley wants to come to Alabama and visit the State Capitol, Archives and History Museum, get an eye exam, see the Rosa Parks Museum, First White House of the Confederacy, go see a play at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, visit Hank Williams grave or go to Biscuits Stadium (the home of the Montgomery Biscuits - and voted the best minor league baseball staduim in the south) just let me know.

All of these attractions are within 5-7 miles of my house and my kids loved doing FS when they were younger and will enjoy doing it again eventhough they are a little older.
