New House Rules

DH found this in the newspaper monday and cut it out for me, thses are our new house rules.

1. If you open it, close it
2. If you turn it on, turn it off
3. If you unlock it, lock it up
4. If you break it, admit it
5. If you can’t fix it, call in someone who can
6. If you borrow it, return it
7. If you value it, take care of it
8. If you make a mess, clean it up
9. If you move it, put it back
10. If it belongs to someone else, get permission to use it
11. If you don’t know how to operate it, leave it alone
12. If it’s none of your business, don’t ask questions

OH this is great! I have been cracking the whip at my house for the last couple of weeks. I wanted to write a list of the new rules to make sure they are aware of them and to remind them. I have to add these they are good.

I actually have this needlepointed and in a frame in my kitchen! It is almost the exact same thing! It was in our house growing up as kids and when I had kids my mom gave it to me!

Here is what mine says:
If you get it out...put it up.
If you sleep on it...make it up.
If you wear it...hang it up.
If you drop it...pick it up.
If you dirty it...wash it.
If you open it...close it.
If you turn it on...turn it off.
If it rings...answer it.
If it howls...feed it.
If it cries...love it.
