Default FrugalFriend and our other COloradans!!

Are you being blown around by this awful wind too??? I swear we're about to get dropped in Kansas soon.

How are our other coloradans doing with the wind? Or are you out of it's path??

Ugh! I'm not in Colorado but here in Nevada the wind is HORRID! Gusting to 58 mph or more! Stay safe and inside!

I had to call the cops a couple of hours ago because a horse shed (metal and tin) had ripped apart and blown across our road! Took about an hour for the road department to come and remove it. We've had stuff we would never believe could be moved by the wind, just fly away, lol.

We're in for more tonight along with more rain.

I'm not in Colorado, but the wind out here in Northern California is nasty right now. Trees are down, roads are closed and flooded, people are without electricity...it's a mess!!

Idaho had those awful wind storms last night! They closed the ski resort and several roads/hiways.

    OMG, Hang on!!

We have more like a chinook here, it's melted about 6 inches of snow today.

Guess we are kinda out of the path, its only blowing maybe 0-35 mph.

Do see that You & Frugalfriend are really getting it.

Stay safe & warm..How long is it suppose to last? Hopefully it wll stop when the sun goes down.

I hope it stops, the fire on I24 and 21st street is blocks from me. Very scary. I have power, it never went off for our house, two blocks away is another story.

I am hoping that it dies down real soon. were nearing the time that they suggested the warning would be lifted. Hoping that magically the wind will have stopped no later than that time.

I am terrified of wind. i can deal with snow (even though i won't drive in it), rain, hail, etc. Wind i can't stand.

Overcast with a slight breeze here in "Venice on the Colorado River" (Grand Junction). Doesn't look like the big winter storm is going to do much here.

I hope the weather is ok here, in Denver and in Boston on Monday because I'm going to be travelling.

weatherunderground shows us at 30 mph right now, but it sure sounds like more than that!

Oh, I'm up north in Greeley. This chinook wind is FINALLY melting some snow here.

It kicked up for a few hours this morning, blowing some stuff around in the yard and shaking the house, but it has died down now. We are in the foothills up near Estes. I think we are supposed to get blasted tomorrow. We are in a winter storm warning....hope they are wrong!

Hey there, we are practically neighbors! I'm further down the foothills though, I think. I'm in town, East Loveland. Clear blue skies now but this morning it sure was dark-cloudy. I was wondering if we were going to get hit.

Just now seeing this, Missy! Don't know how I missed it, LOL! Wow, it sure was windy night before last!!!! Heard the wind during the night and the windows were rattling like crazy. We woke up to tornado/hurricane like sounds. It was windy all day but I went out running errands and it wasn't bad, not really that cold either. Today it is just beautiful and very calm!!! It lightly snowed last night and we woke up to a winter wonderland, so pretty! The sun is shining so bright today I don't think the snow will last long though. That is one thing I love about Colorado, the sun is always shining!

oh, we've been in your town a time or two. I'm actually closer to Lyons, but we are about 10 miles off the highway up into the mountains. You can see my mountain from there, its the biggest one to the left of the twin peaks, closer to the flatlands. Maybe we can meet sometime. There is someone from Greely here too, I think Shadowmom.

We go to Lyons occasionally, they have pinball! And Oskar Blues, yummm. Great food there.
It warmed up a bit today, I chopped and shoveled the ice chunks out of the alley so everything could keep a' drainin' down the block away from my house.
