I last posted in February of 2007. At that time I had just found out that we were expecting baby #4 and then I vanished off the radar...first I took a break for Lent, and then we had a life altering experience which kept me busy for a while...
I took a p/t job last March and a few weeks later, we found out that dh's plant in Indiana was closing over the summer. Long story short, we ended up taking a job in Fort Smith Arkansas with the company that bought out dh's plant. I am a SAHM again due to dh's pay increase and lower cost of living. We moved here in August of last year and spent 6 weeks in a hotel (ugh), and we moved into our new home on 9/18...in the wee hours of 9/28, after 2.5 hours of labor (and almost not making it to the hospital), Michael was born healthy and I was able to go home a day later with him
So here I am again...two kids in Catholic school (5 y.o. started K this year) and $500/month tuition, 4 kids total, and we are trying once again to tighten the purse strings, which is why I am here. We will get the van paid off this year, which will help tremendously, but until then, it's back to closely watching our pennies (and continuing to do so after the van is paid off).
So, I am not Hoosier Momma any more (although I was raised in Indiana), but since I can't change my username, I will forever be that while I am here.

*Reading a lot and trying to find motivation for cross-stitch again (unsuccessfully I might add)
*Settling into another school year (Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Choir, you name it)

Now down to ONE student loan ($4800) and the mortgage!!!!!
As they used to say to Mr. Kotter... Welcome back!

This was our 2nd move in less than 2 years, so it was a hard decision to make, but we like Fort Smith (we used to live 3 hours west of here in Oklahoma before moving to Indiana). Since we have lived in the region before, our accents fit right in LOL.

Fortunately our house in Indiana sold very fast. We put it on the market at the end of June and it sold before the end of July. We got our down payment back but that was about it (we owned it for exactly one year). Dh's company paid for everything, including helping us fix up our home to sell it.
Unfortunately, since I was over 7 months pg when we moved here, we had to move quickly to find a home, and although we like it very much, it is smaller and has no garage. But our mortgage is $200+ lower than in Indiana, so that is not a bad thing.
Well, I don't have much time...we just got back from a trip to Indiana on Saturday and I am playing catchup around the house.
Thanks again for the welcome back!
