who is PROUD of you for being frugal or good with $$$
Reading the thread on responses to people who think you are crazy for being frugal got me thinking. Who thinks you are brilliant for being frugal or good with money?
My db who earns more per year himself than dh and I earn in 5 years think I am absolutely brilliant with money and actually asks my advice.
My husbands two buddies have had me share the way we budget with them and the wives. One of the wives had a long talk with me about how we 4 eat for 1/2 of what their 5 do.
My best friend told me she never worries about me because I can always make something out of nothing.
How about you?! Come on lets toot our own horms a bit!

My Dh is proud of me. He doesn't always say things directly to me but I know that he's mentioned me at work and that made me feel really special and proud of myself. Dh is very good with money, which wasn't always the case with me. He has never told me how to spend my money and was always there for me when I was lacking in funds.. I stumbled about FV and things changed! I realized that I was working everyday, week after week and had nothing to show for it. FV has really opened my eyes. I went on to read TWG and other personal finance books only because I read about them here. Dh told his mother that I was a legend because we went to California (few months back) and I actually made $200 on the whole trip even after expenses. He has told me several times that after we have little ones, if I want to stay home that it would be more than ok because he knows that if we worked together, we could make it on a single income (full time couponing sounds too good to be true).
Also, a friend at work. She has started to catch the frugal bug and loves telling me how much her homemade dinner is per plate. We like seeing how low we can get it and using leftovers and things like that. We cheer each other on.
When someone makes something homemade, there is just something about knowing that that person put time into what you are eating and put thought into how its arranged on the plate. I love doing it. I can't see myself going back to spending a quarter of my paycheck on a purse. Yes, that was me. *shakes head*

My parents, who long hoped I'd see the error of my financial ways.
And the BF is...he's just getting into being frugal but he's always telling me how impressed he is when we go to the grocery and I save 30 or 40 bucks with coupons!

My DH, while being fantastic with money management, is amazed at my attitute towards frugality and the extra "work" I am willing to take on to accomplish it. My DS is another one who celebrates our new concept of living. (Amazing since he is only 11).
And I gotta say my mom is 100% behind me, as she saw me through a first marriage with a $$ sneak and a spendthrift. She always tells people how I did it all on my own and raised my credit score over 150 points in the meantime.
Love this thread! It's great to see all the posts about how much support people have.

My husband is very proud of how I can stretch his money. Also my parents have told me recently how proudh they are of how well I handle money and the great deals I get. I think my sister is. Her husband is an avid reader of my blog and is always telling her to channel her inner Jennifer. LOL

I'm very proud of myself..I've come along way baby! .LOL. My Dh is very proud of me and brags alot to his co-workers on my lastest deals and how coupons are great way to save families alot of money..It's been mentioned that I should talk to a couple of their wifes on how to save them money... My Bil is really proud of me even though he has never verbally told me so..he's 16yrs older then my dh(they are brothers)..I've heard through his wife (they both work at the same place) that he was bragging to his co-workers that I was unbeatable with using my coupons to get items for pennies or free..that really makes me feel as he is 56yrs old and I don't really talk to him that much..

My husband and my father are proud of my frugal ways. Everyone else thinks I've completely lost it. I think my mom and sister think we're poor. Even though I tell them I choose to be frugal, they always seem concerned.
