Default Hubbies and mid life crisis? Could get interesting here!

First off, I LOVE my hubby, we're both very unique individuals and we realize that, we know not many could tolerate either one of us, we compliment each other, it just works. We have the same moral values, many of the same likes and dislikes. I'm always ahead, he's always behind. I'm aggressive, he's mellow. And we both drive our families BATTY!

Well I went through my crisis a few years ago, it wasn't pretty. Mine was the "ack, I'm halfway through with life, where'd it go?"

Well, he's hit 40 now and ACK he wants to be a kid again, lolololol!!!

It started with going to the concert last fall. He looked around and commented that everyone else there was old. Once I finally finished laughing I told him to go look in the mirror, lololol. He was NOT amused!

Well, in his youth he was a musician, played bass in several bands in the Cleveland area. Did the club scene, had the mullet, the clothes, the whole nine yards. I've got band pictures that I LOVE! The guys had the whole "loverboy/journey/aldo nova" thing going on. Big hair, tight jeans, bandanas, gotta love it.

Soooo, what has he done now? After all these years?

    ACK!!!!!

HE CAME HOME WITH A GUITAR AND AN AMP!!!!

Mind you, he didn't spend a penny, he traded for them, no idea what he traded, this is something he does quite often.

BUT OH GEEZ, this could get interesting!! I see jam sessions coming soon, anyone want to come pretend to be wild young rockers with me?

freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Ooh, I'll come, I'll come! I was in a band in college and could definitely revisit those years! Does his band need a lead singer?

Stick with him...he'll get through it.

ROTFLMAO!!! I'd better be the only groupie around him or their will be SERIOUS consequences, lol.

And yes, it's better than out carrousing, drinking, running with the guys, I know that. He's not that type and I'm VERY thankful for it.

Haven't hit the midlife w/ DH yet. And lucky him I hit mine BIG TIME before we got together. That was a fun time----NOT! Cannot imagine what DH's will be like. He is super mellow and laid back.

    Enjoy the music!

lol.My dh has always been a big kid...so maybe that is the reason that I haven't noticed a "mid-life crisis".lol.He's 47 & despite the graying hair, he looks younger - he's another one that still has a mullet.ha
My dh plays some guitar & I have caught him in the act of jamming with dd#2, who happens to be a rock goddess & plays a mean lead guitar(I would have killed to have her talent when I was 17)- I just might send them both over to your house
The only thing that I can tell he's a little sad about concerning his age (& mine-I'm 42) is that we would love to have 2 more children. & w/ me getting older, there is a chance that it may not happen.I'll love him no matter what
