I've just re-realized that I have a box fettish....lol
Gripey was recently given a box of chocolates and nuts. They were packaged separetly in cellophane and then in a nice little box with a lid but both boxes were inside another very cool box that had a hinge that opened up to the side and then on top. Nice, paper covered boxes, heavy too. We were out of town when he got this pkg. and I had to find a way to get these boxes home. It was the silliest thing...but I was obssessed with finding a way to tote these boxes home. They weren't big but space was a problem.....but by golly I got these boxes home. Yesterday I was laughing to myself as I was packing away Christmas decorations and you guessed it, using my nice little boxes that I toted home.....
Am I the only one with a box fettish?

Not only did I shove the chocolates in my gut, and buy more on clearance, I use to save the pretty boxes. As if I would ever find a reason to use a cardboard heart shaped flimsy box.. but, I had to have it. I do admit that I kept the box I gave the Old Man one year. It was a sturdy boxers (underwear) shaped box covered in fabric. I saved it to put the letters and cards he sent me during our 'dating' time. DD got a hold of the box... eventually it made it's way out and I have his tokens of love shoved somewhere in the sock pile.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

There are so many wonderful boxes out there these days. I ooed and ahhed over a red floral soap box at a gift shop before Christmas. Scott secretly went back and bought it for me. It's sitting on my dresser now!

Oh yes, I love boxes. I put scrapbooking stuff in them, just to have a reason to keep the boxes!
And some boxes that are just plain, well, I spray paint them or sponge paint them and use them for files, etc.
But I've got to get a grip. We want to move soon, and some of these will have to go by the wayside.Spiritual:
