Stupid How-to Question

Don't laugh TOO hard, but I can't figure out how to insert smilies in my quick responses. In a new thread, there is a toolbar, from which I can do it. See? So, how do I get them into responses?

Instead of posting in the "Quick Reply" box, click the "Post Reply" blue button. Or, you can type your message in the Quick Reply box and then click "Go Advanced" at the bottom of that box.
