how do you go about finding out where you can get good deals, freebies, other things like that where you live?

i always like to try to research or find stuff by the internet first, but sometimes that's not always helpful.

so how do you go about finding your "good finds"?

In my area I get an enormous amount of flyers and coupon books in the mail. It make it very easy, all I have to do is sort through them and find the best deals.
