    Default My new favorite thing

So, yesterday I had to do some shopping, which I generally hate! I stumbled onto a bunch of capes/shalls on clearance. I thought they were kinda cool and the more I looked, the more practical they seemed. I'm small and a lot of them were really overwhelming, but I found one on clearance that was 19.00 (reg 49.50) that was perfect! It's a blend of acrylic and wool in a soft sage green. It has a large safety pin type closure (that you can use or not) It's perfect for wearing while watching TV, on the computer, out to get the mail...and I'm taking it on the plane next week when we travel. It will be easy to take on and off for security, but warm and snuggly on the plane and in the car! I had 50.00 from Christmas and got the shall, another really nice sweater, new gloves, a scarf (for my coat) and a hoodie!

~I almost bought a fleece cape at the thrift store last month. I was thinking of the snuggly watching tv thing but the plane thing is brilliant! Have a great(and warm!)trip!~

I bought a fleece cape too right after New Years. My new apartment is drafty and it looked so easy and comfy and warm. It is. A couple of days ago I did the non-frugal thing and went back and bought a second one before they were gone for the season. I don't ever, ever want to be without one of these again in the winter chill. And the library is so cold during the summer I may leave one of them at work.

That's wonderful. And what a great idea for the plane trip. You practically have to undress now to go through security. LOL!! Have a safe trip.
