Have you met any on-line friends IRL?
Seems we all find/make new freinds on line sometimes easier than in real life. Have you met anyone you met online?
About 9 years ago I met a gal online in a quilting forum I was on. We started chatting and really seemed to be on the same wave length, even though our lives were entirely differant. We met about 2 years later when she invited me to vist her (1000 miles away!) I've never regretted it...our lives are still very differant, but there is a specail bond and I tell her things I would never tell anyone else. She is truly my best friend, and we try to get together about once a year. I know a lot of people are paranoid, but it worked out for us.
I just didn't think a Nebraska farm girl was much of a threat

I've met Laurie from here on the forum, she has friends not 20 minutes from me so last time she came up from Fl she stopped by, it was GREAT!
I also have a dear friend in WA state, never met in person but her hubby was travelling cross country to pick up his daughter at college and stayed for the weekend, he and hubby REALLY hit it off, I so hope to meet her in person one day.
And I've met MANY MANY horse people in real life that I first met online.

I have not. But, I know that at least three other members here live in the same city as I do and one lives less than three miles from me.

I met a friend I chat with. He lived a few minutes from my sister's house in CO, so when I was there visiting her, we went out to lunch.

No, I've never met anyone on line. Actually it scares me a bit to think of doing so. No offense, anyone!!

Yep - several. The best part is that you usually meet in an area that you both enjoy (scrapbook forum, gardenweb....THE VILLAGE). So when you finally do meet, you have such a great connection!
