Default I must be doing something right.

Although i had plans to clean up and re-organize the house, it didn't happen. I ended up not feeling well, flu symptoms, upset tummy, lots of dashes to the loo. So I went to be early. this morning laid in bed. Then did the sports thing. While ds was at hockey, I brought dd4 and dd10 to the store clothes shopping(gift cards from christmas).

Dd10 did well, she had $75 in giftcards, spend $52, got 1 dress(cute can be worn with jeans or as a dress, perfect for winter wearing or spring!), 1 fleece, 1 pants, 1 sweater, 1 top, 1 set fleece jammies. She had a couple other things, but when she price checked, they weren't on sale, so she returned them. her own decision.

DD4 is usually a handful in the store. But we looked around, and she told me what colors. She chose 2 pairs of fleece pants, one pink, one green, 1 pair of cords cargo style, 1 pink t-shirt, 1 pick sweater, and one matching fleece to the green pants in a butterfly camo design. She asked with each item she looked at, "is it on sale momma? Is it too much?". she had $50 and spent $32. She told me she'd save that for later when it's time for summer.

I did a little shopping there too. For school in the fall. I got 3 pairs of jeans for dd10, 1 fleece for dd4, and 7 tops for dd4. Total was $70. Dd4 is outfitted for school in the fall except for maybe jeans. But her current ones are still a little big, so it should be ok for her then. If not I'll embellish.

DD4 was a real success at the store though. She usually sees something and begs and begs and begs. Doesn't matter the price. She has a real case of the gimmes. Working on it hard. But today, she didn't run around, before we went in I laid out what was expected of her, in terms of behavior, and what we'd be looking at. And that is exactly what happened, but the little comments of her asking if it was on sale was adorable. She's "getting" it!! DD10 is wonderful at bargain shopping. She understands. Dd8 however will spend every last penny..lol. Working on it. But she's little. I'm hoping to break the gimmes with dd4. It's the age, they all did it for a period, they outgrow it in time.

They are certainly turning into champion shoppers! I too, find w/ DS 11 that if it's "his" money he gets it really dead on! LOL

But he is really getting better about my money.

Me too! DD4 has been up since 6:30 or so. DD10 took care of her from 7:30 to 10 so i could rest. I hate having to do that. not that dd4 is alot of work, but I was exhausted. But she gave her breakfast, made sure she dressed. Entertained her. DS13 slept through it all...lol. So he later played computer games with her.

Hopefully this passes so i can doa little re-organizing here tomorrow. I'm off to bed in a about 20 minutes(8:30pm) LOL. I need the rest and dd4 should be ready.
