Another "I love the village" thread ;)
Periodically I am reminded why I love Frugal Village... it's you guys!
I have recently become very active with a particular crafting forum. While all the crafty sections are friendly & fun, any time a topic is posted under their personal chat or current events sections, someone gets snarky or someone gets flamed. I am amazed that these ladies who are so happy to chat about crafts will also quickly cut each other down when they share opinions on anything outside of crafts. I've learned to more or less stay out of those sections.
Here at FV, I never worry about posting my opinions. It's not too often that someone gets flamed, and it seems that even then it's often just a poor choice of wording, and not intentional. And sometimes when we do get a new person who is snarky or rude, I don't worry... it seems that they always leave within a few weeks.
So, thanks, all, for making FV such a friendly, welcoming place where everyone can express themselves freely.
And thanks to Sara & Gabe for creating such a place.

I so agree with you Amy. The warm and friendly aura around here is why I stay. I wouldn't want to come to a place everyday where people are mean and nasty to each other. I mean I can find those places in RL easy enough...
This is supposed to be entertainment, right?

I agree totally. I visit here at least twice a day, sometimes more. Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. There have been occasions when there was a little flamer that popped in or someone got snippy, but like you say, they don't stay. And one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch!

I love it here! I get so motivated! And I even get to think about how I stand on some things. Everyone here is so helpful and full of good ideas. I come on here as much as I can. I have to set the timer or I'd stay much too long!

I have to second what you said Amy.
recently i posted a couple _possible_ controversial posts, almost wanting not to, but curious enough I had to.
i was SO relieved that there was none of that behaviour.
it really felt wonderful to be able to have an ADULT conversation without any of that sillyness... I know we all get passionate about different things, and that's ok.
But after seeing people state things like "I said I wouldn't respond to/post here... but...." really was nice to have a full circle convo - with different sides, views and opinions.
Kudos!

Frugal Village is my favorite place. I love the fact that we can all have differing opinions and most of the time be very respectful to one another.
The people here are the friends that I go to when something goes wrong, when I have a question, ro to rejoice in those little victories that most people IRL just wouldn't get.
Not to mention the motivation it provides. I am nearly out of debt after coming here for two years, and the motivation hasn't flagged.
Thanks everyone!

I have to echo what everyone else is saying.
I am also a member of another forum and to be quite honest I am hardly there anymore simply because each time I think that I will start posting again, something nasty happens.
Life is too short for such nastiness and the motivation that we all receive here just makes it such a great place to come to.
Thanks everyone!!*Avril*

I like it because you all "get" me. I am not that weird person who never spends money or that cheap person. I am "one of the crowd".
