    Default Winter Blues

    Anyone else got them.
I just want to sleep 24/7 lately.
Bills aren't going down fast enough.
    I'm getting discouraged.....

( just a small vent against Mother Nature )

    BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And having to do chores in this ZERO degree weather is really wiping me out too, just tired, cranky and SORE here! Took me TWO HOURS out in this mess this morning to bust all the ice out of the buckets, refill and feed all the critters. Add to that they're all feeling their oats with the cold so kicking up their heels and acting cantankerous, the buggers.

The biggest thing I keep reminding myself is that the days ARE getting longer, spring IS on the way, it WILL be warm again!

And you can bet I'll be enjoying every moment of the warmth when it's back!

The ONLY positive today is that the sun is shining.

Try to bundle up and go outside for 10 or 15 minutes. The light really does help for the winter blues. I get them every year.

I hope the feeling goes away soon for you.

If the groundhog doesn't behave I'm going to go dig him OUT of his hole and feed him to my dog! And trust me we have plenty of ground hogs here to go around! Also known as whistle pigs They are funny to sneak up on and listen to, they DO whistle.

And now, I'm off to take that nap

It is sunny here today too, but still cold! I do like the sunshine though, from inside you can't tell it's frigid outside. I am feeling tired all the time too, the last couple of weeks were difficult to get out of bed to go to work. I called in sick one day last week, I slept most of that day. I think I was just too tired to deal with the weather and the cold.

I was on top of the world the two days we had warm temps. I still went to work, but I walked each day at lunchtime and then strolled around my neighborhood in the evening. It was two days of paradise in the middle of January.

Winter is usually my favorite time of year but i'm not liking it this year. Bills are higher and everything is costing me more money.

I will be so happy when I don't hear the furnace running so much and don't have to warm up the car before I take my kids anywhere.

My dog in the barn didn't know who I was
    I was so bundled up.
Yeah I have to haul that water to the barn to and unfreeze water buckets.
Winter can be so beautiful until you walk out doors.
