I'm all ears.....
Didn't quite know how to title this thread. I have a problem that I'm hoping someone has a suggestion for (a frugal suggestion ofcourse). I got an mp3 player for Christmas which I *love*. But, here's my problem. The earphones are a bit too big (FINALLY I've found something on me that's small, after all these years!) for my itty bitty ear holes. I'm constantly having to put them back in, they just won't stay in my ears. I've tried turning them, and then figured out that they're round on all sides
doesn't really matter which way you put them in.....I've tried jamming, pushing, poking....the only 2 things I haven't tried are bubble gum and super glue. Anyone know of any kind that are either smaller or pliable or something that might work? I don't really want to walk around an airport with giant, airline pilot looking headphones on if I can avoid it but if that's my only choice I reckon I will......Suggestions?

You can get earphones that are "gel" type and they fit very well. The ones that came with my MP3 player killed my ears because they were too big.

I have the same problem with the "ear buds", for a while I used them when I worked out...and I just put a workout headband around my ears to keep them in. But...I work out at home, in my garage! I don't think you'd want to walk around looking like that!

They used to sell the kind that went into your ear in a "tube" shaped, instead of round. I used to love those, but haven't seen them in a while, so I don't know if they still sell them, but you might look for them!

I have tiny ears too. I have to get the kind that look like plugs and go inside your ear and have different sizes to put on so they fit well.

DD is the queen of earphones/earbuds. In the past year she has had 23 sets. She has her iPod on pretty much all of the time. So far her favorite style are the type that are actually shaped and must be placed in a certain ear, like shoes. The one marked L goes into the left ear and the one marked R goes in the right.
She also liked a style similar to this. http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...nplm=TP603ZM/A (No,I did not pay $30 for earbuds.)This style worked best when she was playing or doing some type of vigorous activity.DD (19)

I have the headphone type ones and they aren't as big & bulky like they used to be.
I don't like the "they are going to fall out of my ears" feeling either. Got mine at Walmart, cheap. Didn't get good reviews but mine work great, lol. Mine aren't the same color & unsure of the model # but they are pretty close.

I had the same trouble with mine. You can either get the gel ear buds, or the kind that have the attached part that hooks around the outside of you ear.
I ended up just changing MP3 players entirely and went to the Oakley Thumps that are attached to a pair of sunglasses so they can't possibly fall out - LOL.

Can't stand earbuds, and neither can DS who has Sensory issues. We both have found the type that loop over the ear and rest kinda at the neck are the best for us.

Try searching Amazon for a brand called Skull Candy. They are VERY small and have even smaller gel tips in (I think) 3 different sizes that come with them. I have the same problem and they are the only ones I've found that don't hurt like heck after 5 minutes in my ears.
A word of warning, don't buy the pink ones, the pink somehow rubs off on your skin. At first I thought I was allergic, or having some type of reaction, then I realized it was the pink color on the metal that was rubbing off on my ears. HAH!
