I am so curious about these things!!!

I'm fairly new on the forum, just joining late last fall. And let me tell you what: I love this place. I am finding out more info and tips than I ever thought possible.

But I am fairly ignorant still of some of the ways this works. For example, what are "awards"? I see things on postings that say "Total awards 11" and there are all these pictures. Do the pictures go along with the awards? What are the awards and how do you get them?

And what's with the "Bobs" who are the moderators? I think it's cute, but I don't get it.

And at the bottom of my postings are a couple of little icons. What are they?

Can anyone help me out? My curiosity is killllllling me!

The awards are little 'gifts' given for participation in certain areas. You can run your cursor over them and they say what they're for. The icons on the bottom of your post are; green button shows you are online if it's red, you're not. The Exclamation point is for reporting a bad post so that it can be moderated. Sometimes Sara 'bobs' people just for fun. No rhyme or reason just happens.....
