    Know What I Mean?
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference

    Made me laugh, when I was in high school I had a math teacher who was fond of writing things on the board like: TWBNQTUYAWTM and then walking away without a word. Of course we caught on quickly. It means - there will be no quiz tomorrow unless you ask what this means. He wrote something different every day. We finally quit asking and tried to figure them out by ourselves. He got such a kick out of tricking us. We'd all consult one another accross the desks and try to figure it out while he just sat and grinned.

    I thought this meant something else.
    " May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."

    Sounds like the sign in the bar on base, it means if you ask you shout the next round. My DH told me what it said so I wouldn't ask. Lol
